What Mocca is
Mocca is a CRM built on Frappe, an open-source business platform. It is made for venues and attractions that sell tickets, run events and market to their visitors.
Visitors leave traces in many systems: they book a timed ticket, buy something in the online shop, pay at a till, register for a free event, open a newsletter, click an ad. Each of those systems keeps its own customer list. Mocca pulls them together so that each person has one Contact, and on that Contact you can see:
- Purchases: every order from the ticketing system, the online shop, the event platform and the payment terminals, with refunds.
- Attendance: which event dates the person booked and whether they checked in.
- Consent: whether the person agreed to receive marketing email or SMS, and where that consent came from.
- Attribution: the first and the most recent campaign that brought the person to your website.
The systems Mocca connects
| System | What Mocca reads from it |
|---|---|
| Peek Pro | Timed-ticket bookings, the people who booked, check-ins, event dates |
| Shopify | Online shop orders and refunds, customers |
| Eventbrite | Event registrations and attendees, marketing opt-in answers |
| Square | Point-of-sale payments and refunds, customers |
| Mailchimp | The email audience: who is subscribed and who unsubscribed |
| Meta Ads, Google Ads | Daily spend, impressions, clicks and conversions per campaign |
| Facebook Page, Instagram | Daily followers, reach and engagement, and per-post numbers |
Each connection is switched on and configured by an administrator in Mocca Settings. Mocca also records website visits that carry campaign tags, see Attribution.
What Mocca is built from
Mocca runs four Frappe applications side by side, all on the same data:
- Frappe CRM: the everyday screen for contacts.
- Frappe Desk: the administration screens, lists and forms for every record type, including the Mocca ones (orders, attendance, settings).
- Helpdesk: tickets for visitor questions and complaints.
- Insights: charts and dashboards.
